A Visit from Moki and Papa

We had visitors from Illinois this weekend! My mom and dad came down to spend Saturday and Sunday with all of us. They're on their way to Illinois now, but we had a good weekend and played outside a lot!

Well, we ate pie and watched Fantasia 2000 in the evening on Friday...

...but starting on Saturday, we spent a good part of the weekend outside. We went to a nearby school and played at the playground on Saturday afternoon, but it was so nice out later in the evening that we had to spend more time outside!

Lukas was excited because Mom and Dad (Moki and Papa to Lukie) brought down my grandfather's wagon to attach to our lawn mower. Pete was getting ready to take Lukie on a wagon ride, but he had to take a moment to get some water to clean the cat poop off his lawn mower seat, first. Yeah. Cat poop.

Lukas was not pleased that he wasn't on Daddy's lap yet, and was confused as to why he had to wait for the wagon to be hooked up.

The wagon was fun for about two circles around the back of the yard...

...but...

...eventually Lukie decided he still preferred being on Daddy's lap. So, I rode in the wagon while Lukie and Daddy carted me around. Dixie eventually joined me in the back of the wagon. She likes riding on things; her favorite is my dad's golf cart, but a wagon ride will suffice in a pinch, I guess.

I got the camera from Mom and caught some pretty excellent Daddy/Lukie shots.

Then there was time to pretend he was driving the lawn mower. Have I mentioned how much this kid loves the lawn mower?

He was even uninterested in Mom, Dad, and Pete's discussion of the venting of the metal roof. The lawn mower is more important!

The next day was even more beautiful, if you can believe it, so we played outside all afternoon. As soon as nap was over, we were outside.

There was some booger wiping.

Wagon inspecting...

And Mommy helping.

Also hat removing...

And adorable-being.

What a great weekend! And the best part is that my mom is coming back in about three weeks while Peter takes students on a 3-day field trip!
