Photo Comparison!

Pete called me on my way to work this morning to tell me that he had found some pictures of me as a kid, and that he believed Lukas really does look like I did as a baby. He may have his daddy's eyebrows and body, but his face and facial expressions are all mine.

Everyone always talks about how much Lukas looks like Pete. I submit this proof that he looks a lot like me as a kid, and it's just that Pete looks a bit like a baby as an adult...:)

Slippy, Slidey Adventure!

Pete took his students on a field trip to Williamsburg, VA last weekend, and to make sure that Lukie and I didn't just sit staring at each other all weekend, I organized a fun trip to a place called Wallabies in Johnson City, TN. My friend Suzi, her daughter (also my friend) Jamie, and I took Lukie to bounce around in a warehouse full of inflatables...and we had so much fun! I didn't take my nice camera for fear of damage, so all the photo credit goes to Suzi and her iPhone!

Lukie made a friend in the toddler area. He was pointing at things and chattering at her and following her all over the place!

It's a serious workout carrying a 30 lb. child all the way up a slippery, slidey, wobbly inflatable with only one hand to hold onto a rope. I was sore the next day!

Of course, he was hungry and thirsty after about an hour and a half, so I had water and a peanut butter sandwich and grapes in the car for him to eat on the way home. He chowed down, and then promptly fell into a sleep. Once I got him home, he slept another 2.5 hours. He was one worn out little boy!!

That was our adventure...and I'm looking forward to many more because SPRING is ALMOST HERE!!
